基于翻译能力培养的MTI课程设置研究 祝朝伟

提要:翻译能力研究表明,翻译能力是一个由多种子能力构成的复合体,可以后天习得。本文基于学界较为认同的PACTE翻译能力构成模型,参照美国蒙特雷国际研究学院口笔译硕士项目的课程设置,分析了我国MTI课程设置存在的不足,并从翻译能力培养角度提出了课程设置改进建议,具体包括增开相关课程提升学生的双语子能力、语言外能力和翻译知识能力,增加必修课程比例增强策略子能力培养的系统性,延长基本学制,以此确保翻译人才培养质量。

Abstract: The research on translation competence (TC) shows that TC is composed of multiple sub-competences and can be acquired through learning. Based on the TC Model of the PACTE group and in the light of the MA program of translation and interpreting in Monterey Institute of International Studies, this paper probes into the shortcomings of the MTI curriculum design in China, and puts forward some suggestions to remedy them, which include offering more courses to strengthen students' bilingual, extralinguistic and translation knowledge sub-competences, increasing the percentage of compulsory courses to ensure systematic training of strategic sub-competence, and extending the program duration to 3-5 years.
